[Title: Being different!] It’s funny how easily people can judge you. They have this imaginary picture of who they think you are or who they think you should be that they fail to see and recognize who you really are. Ironic as it seems, sometimes even you, yourself gets confused of who the real you is.

Maybe it’s the way how life in this world works. A person can never resist the need to be accepted, and sad enough, in the process of wanting yourself to be accepted in a crowd, you become one of them and fail to be an individual.

Sometimes we could be so afraid to be different from the others because we’re scared that they’ll treat us badly, or they’ll laugh at us, or think of us as a freak, a nerd, a snob, or simply out-of-this-world. One can sometimes be so crazy and try anything just to be a part of a crowd/group and to be accepted. They change their self and unconsciously mirror others so that she/he could fit in the crowd, and not be called different.

But as time pass by, you end up feeling alone and empty. And you know why? It’s because you have made yourself a stranger to your self. You end up feeling confused and unhappy, because you where wrong from the very beginning. You didn’t only lied to them by changing who you are; it’s mostly because you lied to yourself for believing that being common can make you happy.

Being different is not bad, if being different means being you. Yes, there is a lot of difficulty in maintaining your own beliefs in the face of others. We all have a great need for acceptance, but you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your own… Although some people may think them odd or unpopular, what really matters in the end is you accept and love the real you.

“Two paths’s diverged into the wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by. &that has made all the difference.” ~ Robert Frost

Yes, I am different, and you may not like what you see. But whether you like it or not this is me!
